Pets
We are surrounded by little beasties of every nature, furry, scaled and armored. We live with one dog, a monkey, a sugar glider, black cat, 27 turtles, several Koi and a hand full of goldfish. I have had the sugar glider for quite some time now but he's an elusive little guy and only comes out about Midnight, I'm not staying up that long to get a shot of him. But when I do I will update this page with his picture.
Angel
Angel was Wendy's dog which I dognapped when she went into the military. Poor Wendy. Angel was my trucking dog during my time as a truck driver and has about one million miles under her feet, going with me to almost every state in the Union. Wendy I love you but the dog is mine ( see Monkey Axiom below ).
Josie
Josie is a squirrel monkey we raised from a baby ( about 6 weeks old ). She was bottle fed by one of us every 2 hours. The Vet said to not expect her to live but we have proved everyone wrong. Josie is about 4 years old now and is in love with Erika, not that she's mean to me or others, she just tolerates me because I'm a member of the troop. She doesn't like me touching Erika and will go out of her way to remove my hand when I get to close. She just lets us borrow objects around the house ( believing in the " MONKEY AXIOM " What ever is in the house is mine, if you think it's yours it's mine, whatever is mine is most definitely mine and I don't want it till you do ".
Frosty
In her youth Frosty had white tips on her fur hence the name, she's about 15 years old and is huge weighing in at an approximate 15 LBS. Sometimes she gives us a scare, doesn't eat for days and just lays around, she's also on the blind side. If you do move her food dish she would probably starve to death. We talked about taking her to the vet and putting her down on her slow sick days. But she must over hear us and the next day she is catching mice and birds, jumping around like a younger version of herself. I suppose even a cat has an off day.
3 Turtles
I can't say much about the turtles except that they came from various states and were trying to cross the US Interstate when they were injured. I went along and picked them up and with about what seemed like 10 lbs of epoxy and a lot of perseverance to save their little but it was worth. They have made a home in our back yard, digging a hole next to the side of the pool and I suppose under the pool when I tried to find the bottom with a stick I couldn't reach it even after lowering in 5 feet of the stick. They come to the back door in the summer always looking for a hand out.
